Robert Sanchez is a choice student who graduated from high school and is currently a junior at Yale University. His mother, Maria, is a schoolteacher in the school Robert left for a better opportunity. They both agree that had he not chosen another school, Robert would not have been able to accomplish all that he has. Robert wants to attend medical school and move back to Texas to practice medicine.

Anastasia Torres, a high school freshman, and her mother, Diana, discuss the challenges Anastasia faced at her neighborhood school and the hope school choice has brought them. In her old school, Anastasia feared for her safety, but in her new school, she is able to concentrate on her studies and her grades are soaring.

Luis Torres adopted his nephew, Efran, who is currently in the 6th grade. In this video, Luis describes how moving to a new school inspired a desire to learn in Efran. Whereas he was struggling at his old school, Efran excels in the school his uncle chose for him.

Cindy Zimmerle is the mother of Choice student Larry Zimmerle, Jr. Larry graduated from high school and attends St. Mary's University in San Antonio. In this clip, Cindy discusses how she feels her tax dollars should be used to give her son the education she knows is best for him. She also shares her belief that elected officials benefit from school choice because of their means but have thus far refused to share this opportunity with other Texans.
