Welcome to the Texans for School Choice website. This is the place where news about passage of school choice can be found as well as research and the means to advance needed legislation.

No one knows a child as well as that child's own parents and parents should have the absolute right to use their own tax dollars to help their own children find the best educational opportunities. School choice is not an attack on public schools and hard working public school teachers but is an effort to help public schools and a recognition that one size does not always fit all.

We believe that Texas public policy should create the broadest possible menu of education options for parents and that, in doing so, public school children will benefit as well a children who will flourish in a private school setting. School choice is all about providing educational options that work better for children and parents and, therefore, for Texas and our future.

Because there is strong political opposition by some to school choice and other educational reforms desperately needed by Texas parents and school children, we believe that the voices of the people of Texas must be heard by elected officials in order for the merits of a better education system to eclipse the politics of education in Texas.
